The all 2011 M56 is Infiniti’s newest entry into the mid-size luxury sedan segment. Both the rear wheel drive M56 and the all-wheel drive M56x have big V8 DOHC engines and aggressive, “look at me”, styling. Starting under $60,000, the M56 has a lower price compared to its direct competition from Germany.The M56’s big 5.6 liter 32-valve V8 puts out 420 hp. The 7-speed automatic transmission is standard and has four shift modes in addition to the manual shift paddles. For the new 2011 M56, Infiniti chose an aggressive looking style with a lowered ride height and bulging fenders. Standard traction for the M56 comes from 18-inch alloys shod with V-speed-rated performance tires.
The M56 has a long list of standard safety features including front and side airbags, 4-wheel antilock brakes, and an active head restraint system designed to reduce whiplash injury in the event of a collision.
Inside the 2011 M6’s cabin, there are many standard high-tech features included in the base model. Standard on the M56 is a great sounding Bose 10-speaker sound system with CD, Bluetooth, XM satellite radio, and an iPod dock.
